Who we are
A history of specialization
Sa&Bar was founded in 1960 to produce aluminum castings to client drawings. In 2010, following the move to our new facilities, we discontinued green sand molding to focus entirely on the no-bake process: the technology best suited to complex components with articulated geometries and weights up to 600 kg.
Today we manage the entire production cycle in-house — from molding to shake-out through to quality control — and work in close contact with technical offices, pattern shops and design studios, both on prototypes and on repeated small-batch production.
The production plant
In-house production, total control
The Granarolo dell'Emilia facility houses the entire production chain: from the mechanized molding line to the melting furnaces, from shake-out to sand reclamation plants.
Finishing operations — fettling and shot blasting with a rotary table machine — are carried out by an affiliated company located a few hundred meters away, with whom we operate in continuous coordination.
