Applications
Components produced by Sa&Bar are used in automatic machinery, industrial plants, mechanical components and structural parts. We work both on single parts for prototype development and on repeated small-batch production.
Sector 01
Automatic machinery
We produce aluminum castings for automatic machinery, special plants and robotic systems. Among the most common components are crankcases, beds, structural supports, machine bodies and transmission parts.
These are often elements with complex geometries, intricate cores and precisely defined dimensional tolerances. In this context, the no-bake process is a particularly suitable solution as it allows advanced technical configurations, modifications during the development phase and low production batches to be managed, without sacrificing casting quality.
Sector 02
Motorsport & Automotive
For the motorsport and automotive sectors we produce aluminum castings for high technical content applications, where high mechanical performance, good surface quality and, where necessary, pressure tightness are required.
We produce engine components, valve bodies, supports, crankcases and other structural or functional parts, using Al-Si-Mg family alloys suitable for the most demanding applications. Attention to process control and metallurgical quality of the casting allows us to meet the typical requirements of these sectors, even when the project requires technical stringency and consistent performance.
Sector 03
General industrial components
Alongside the more specialized sectors, Sa&Bar produces castings for a wide range of general industrial applications. We produce structural parts, supports, mechanical components and technical parts for machinery, plants and equipment of various kinds.
This versatility allows us to support clients in very different projects, offering solutions suited to both simple components and more complex parts, always developed to technical specification and according to the functional requirements of the required part.
Sector 04
Rapid prototyping
For those who need to develop a new component without yet having a definitive pattern, Sa&Bar offers a complete prototyping service through collaboration with Eidocast3D, a company specializing in 3D sand printing.
The process is simple: the CAD file of the component is used to directly print the sand mold, without the need for a physical pattern. Sa&Bar then performs the aluminum casting on the prototype mold, to the same quality standards as series production. The result is a prototype cast in real metal, ready for functional testing and validation, in significantly shorter times than the traditional route.
It is the ideal solution for those still in the development phase, needing to test multiple geometric variants, or requiring a first part quickly before investing in the definitive pattern.
